I know some have complained about the broadcast on Peacock, but I thought the quad box was great aside from the issues with mat 3 for a bit, especially during the JB/Facundo match. But I thought Shane deserved his own thread. He just went 5 hours broadcasting by himself and stayed on top of all of the action. Very impressive! Thank you Shane.8 points

Spelling is in honor of Fleetwood Mac's legendary album. But in terms of actual rumors, there have been posts suggesting that: 1) An Ivy coaching change could send ripples through the coaching carousel 2) Virginia Tech will be announcing a former head coach as a key hire for them (rumor is its Roselli) 3) Oklahoma State will be finalizing their head coach announcement next week. Probably will be Coleman, but a few desperate last minute conversations will take place (and will be unlikely to materialize) 4) Connor McGonagle rumored to be headed to Virginia Tech with Latona bumping up to 141 and Crook redshirting8 points

Messenbrink was acting all Desanto in that match. Several times he was a little extra. Shove was not unwarranted.5 points

Are they seriously skipping MFS matches while we watch this women's bullshit??5 points

Sorry but it looked like MM was trying to bully JB and get into his head, and then drove low into JB's legs when they were already out of bounds (which can result in an injury). If that's the case then JB was 100% right to show MM what he thought of that.5 points

I am not replying to you but to some of the other posters on here. That particular mask blocks particles 3 micron and larger. They are useless against Covid. The Covid 19 virus is .07 microns. The N95 mask which no one gave us to wear blocks particles .3 microns and larger. Better but still not very effective. Remember the covid 19 is .07 microns. the hair on your head is 70 microns in diameter to give you an idea how small the covid 19 is. Then you have all the gaps around the mask because it is a poor fit on your face. But if makes you feel better to wear a mask ,wear it.5 points

A really interesting aspect about UCLA and USC is they'd have a natural competitive advantage due to their proximity with the APAC countries (also the schools' reputation and alumni base). With the right coaching staff and support, it would be incredible to see those schools pull together a lineup with recruits from China, Japan, Mongolia, Iran, etc.(in addition to the West Coast). NIL could become a strong counterbalance to foreign athletes staying home and getting paid. And women's wrestling in Japan is so stacked, I'm sure there's some good talent willing to train & compete here. Unfortunately none of this will happen, but it's fun to think about.5 points

Let's apply some Lobster Logic: Millions of people voluntarily build fences around their properties. Public servants in every jurisdiction wear gold stars proudly and conspicuously. Tattoos are displayed with joy by people. Free food, clothes, transportation, and health care are sought by people the world over. Therefore, if a government were to provide these things we all would be in a form of heaven. Anyone whining about having to wear a thin easy to attach gold star to help each other out needs a swift kick in the ass. Anyone whining about having to get a small easy tattoo to help each other out needs a swift kick in the ass. Anyone whining about having to live in a secure gated community with free food, clothing, health care, and all the exercise you want to help each other out needs a swift kick in the ass. There have been several such a benevolent governments that gave all these things to special people and also gave swift kicks in the ass to whiners with the temerity to complain. Lobster just loves those types of ass kicking governments and the type of people who implemented them.5 points

JB is more than the guy who won more golds for the US than anyone else. People forget now, but when JB first won a gold medal in 2011, the US struggled to win golds. In the ten years before he won his first gold -- from 2001 to 2010 -- the US won a total of 3 golds. Then JB came in and raised the bar for everyone.4 points

Did I see Nolf get pushed out twice with no calls in addition to no calls when not engaging in the second period? Huh? It was a good match by Nolf but a head-scratcher on some no-calls.4 points

Messenbrink like a barking puppy out there, while JB was the old dog treating him with disdain. Not sure why we expect all these guys to be lovey dovey. There is only one spot on the team.4 points

I felt like it wasn't a big deal at all. Mesenbrink was very intense. Burroughs gave him a shove. It's not a big deal. Don't make it one.4 points

Aliaksandr Kikiniou is 44 years old, and he is in the semis at 77KG in Greco. He took out Porter 6-0. He must have transferred from Belarus at some point. He won a Bronze at Worlds in 2009 and competed in the 2004 Olympics. You can see his gray hair at 6:30 PM today. He is more than twice the age of some of the other guys. Impressive given that one's VO2 max declines about 10 percent each decade after your 20's.4 points

Shane Sparks LOVES wrestling. Not just doing the broadcasting for a paycheck and it is easy to tell by the enthusiasm and knowledge he carries on each call.4 points

just got back from session 1 major takeaways. The high school kids are absolutely unreal cox looked like he was about to die post match Shapiro looked dreadful compared to my standards for him. Facundo if it translates to folk will be ready to AA Spencer looks healthy and has insane hips Yianni looked really good aside from when he looked really bad Carter looked really undersized MM may have something to say about a Dake Burroughs rematch Jesse gets better every time I see him4 points

BB mckenna match is a perfect example of where folkstyle gets something right. The dominance points of holding a guy on his back for nearfall and the fact that mckenna was very nearly pinned make that match result leave a sour taste in my mouth.4 points

aren't schools government entities who decide what's in them? the parents, voicing concerns about sexual content(including graphic illustrations) in the library, rightly, RIGHTLY, questioned the decisions made by these public/government entities. can you buy the book for your kid? by all means, have at it. Can it be in a public library? ask your constituents... in a school? ask the parents... we already did this. i nearly got banned for posting what was in the books. if that doesn't tell that whats in the books is inappropriate for a school library, I Dont' know what does.4 points

honestly, just stfu. no one wanted a war at all and certainly not involving iran and others. many of us told you what was abundantly clear to non lib tards: that now that the US released billions to Iran, bad sh!t was going to happen. of course you galactically stupid lefty stans mumbled: 'but but but it's in escrow, durr.' it's incredible the idiocy of you people who deny what's obvious and then, when things go to shit like predicted by anyone with any semblance of reality, totally enter spin zone. let me spell it out for you, dunce - Hamas (with Iran funding) attacked Israel. Israel responded. Now Iran is attacking Israel. and your big brain response is 'you wanted this' ? it not only refutes what actually happened, it's a scumbag thing to say.4 points

Cox has made weight. PD3 is onsite. Brackets out within an hour. Wrestling begins in less than two hours. Let's have ourselves the best two days of the year! My big predictions for this morning Fix over Suriano Nick Lee only sees Saturday if he wants to wrestle on the backside McKenna takes out Green despite the recovery time. Shoes on the mat. Pain for the entire arena. Bartlett takes out Alirez JB runs roughshod on 74 Dean takes out Marstellar, Hidlay rocks Starocci Everyone wonders why the three best at 97 are on the same side of the bracket Gwiz humbles Kerk3 points
