  1. Did I see Nolf get pushed out twice with no calls in addition to no calls when not engaging in the second period? Huh? It was a good match by Nolf but a head-scratcher on some no-calls.
  2. If you are taking real-world action on address systemic issues and supporting those in need, congratulations, you believe in personal accountability and are doing so by example. And if you are someone who takes action, there are near-zero odds that you linked up to this wrestling forum without caring about who wins a wrestling match. If you speaks words and pay taxes only, then you are a paper tiger that still has near-zero odds that you linked up to this wrestling forum without caring about who wins a wrestling match. Your member name implies you know how winners win... Your actions betray your words. I don't care if you won a wrestling match for general discussion. It is outlandish to discredit the idea that winners win due to their personal accountability. I won plenty of matches and those that I lost are all due to having been outdone by someone who wanted it more than me, who had more personal accountability than me. Most everyone who has success talks about PA.
  3. This was an insider comment and nod to a member. Wrestleknownothing posts analytics about who is going to be an all american and who will win. He seems like a good guy other than that love for swimming. The point is that most everything discussed on the wrestling side relates to winning. Who won the starting spot. Who is the goat. Who will be an all american. Who will pin the most people. Who sucks at coaching winners. Who recruits the best winners. What mindset does the winningess coach teach. How much money will winners be paid to transfer schools to help that school win more. The spladle sure was an embarrasing way to lose. Wow his gas tank made him lose. Wow look at how his motor helps him win. He wins because he is aggressive. How can that guy lose when he squats 600 pounds? Can you believe that high school winner beat those college winners? That winner is a character loser. Etc, etc. winning is discussed around the water cooler. Since you do no care about winning, what compells you to this particular wrestling forum?
  4. We've gone over this before. https://intermatwrestle.com/forums/topic/2718-book-bans/ Here are some over time Of Mice and Men Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn The Cay To Kill A Mockingbird Uncle Tom's Cabin https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/books/story/2020-11-12/burbank-unified-challenges-books-including-to-kill-a-mockingbird
  5. The words are in the dictionary. Lies Wrong. I judge everyone. Let's be clear, I called you and anyone disrespectful of the anthem a jerk because they are jerkish jerks that jerkishly jerkoff to disrespecful jerks. I like this. Some truth. Keep going. I don't want the government taking my money to help people that do not want to be helped, and do not want the opportunity to help themself. Whatever lifestyle those people are, I don't support my tax dollars going to them and I don't want to be their friend. I don't want my money going to people with illegal activities or for activities that violate the golden rule, such as the people chanting "Death to America." They only way they should get money from me is if I choose to give to them. And sometimes I do... More lies. Remind me again how this relates to my youth baseball team reflecting on how they can get better so that umpires do not determine the game's outcome? How does this relate to PA? How widespread was that view? And I guess it was a good thing enough of those personally accountable self-rightous bible thumpers supported desegregation.
  6. Personal accountability is strongly needed to win and dominate a college wrestling match. Does being a weak, cowardly, ineffectual person create a sense of confidence and satisfaction? Imagine someone steals your idea and project work. They are recognized for your work and in line for a promotion. Are you going to speak up? Imagine this occurred to a collegue, you felt it was wrong, and did not speak up. Imagine you are losing a wrestling match by one point with one minute left to go. You refrain from attacking and time runs out with the same score on the board. Imagine gassing out during a wrestling match and losing in the final seconds.
  7. What draws you to the sport and this forum? Do know nothings and friends discuss analytics on fitness, flexibility, situational awareness, stress management, and using one's imagination. Honest curiosity.
  8. Personal accountability enhances the power of working together. Dude. PA is taking responsibility of your actions and decisions that only you control. It applies to the poorest of the poor, the least free of the abused, and the most privileged of the privileged. PA is not without risks. It IS stressful to hold myself accountable for the actions of others. I do get burnout depending on people without PA because it puts the monkey on my back. I can feeling guilty and self-blame when not meeting impossibly high standards. AND THIS TRADEOFF IS WORTH THE OPPORTUNITY TO ACHIEVE MOST OF WHAT I WANT. Think about it—nobody achieves lasting success without PA. It's been the driving force behind every significant accomplishment in history. From groundbreaking innovations to societal progress, PA has been the common thread that propels individuals forward.
  9. Slide into DMs for 1.1s, but we're all wearing big boy pants in public chats. Sticking to topics? Eh, good luck with that!
  10. Underlining those words does not have the impact you think it does. Am I a dog that needs to be put down awful?
  11. To win with dominance. Wussiness is not happiness. ...not looking for the essay on sportsmanship, fitness, social, personal growth, self defense, character growth... etc. can read https://www.wrestlingmindset.com/blog/lessons-from-cael-sanderson/ for that.
  12. Let's eliminate kid's wrestling from the question. What type of focused mindset is highly probable for successful collegiate and international wrestlers?
  13. Brother Blind, everyone I've ever met has agreed that people really need help and go without it. No policy or politican has prevented me from exercising my personal accountability or what I personally consider a social responsibility to help others. The example has me helping others! What do you know of my knowledge about the realities of other people's lives? What informs you that I'm narrow minded on this topic and that you are superior enlightened with understanding? What makes it hard to understand that teaching personal accountability IS PROVIDING help! You can't shame a valid and timelessly proven viewpoint. Virtual signaling? Yep you nailed it. Please send me a thank you letter and flowers. /s ZERO times have I said there were no systemic issues. MULTIPLE times you accuse me of what I have not said. This is one of those examples you ask for receipts on where you are misrepresenting positions.
  14. @ThreePointTakedown Honest question - what do you like about wrestling? What type of focused mindset is highly probable for successful wrestlers?
  15. What are you trying to accomplish? I share an empowering message of personal accountability and resilience that is specific my baseball team. You distort my message to create a strawman as if it was a one-size fits-all approach in all circumstances. You try to divert the discussion away from personal accounability and appeal to empathy without addressing accountability merits. Sharing this story isn't even about me. Yet you attack my character rather than viewpoints. You call me ignorant to those in need while completely ignoring that I'm actually volunteering time and resources for those I'm directly helping.
  16. Change the sport to soccer, running, or wrestling. These are more common than water in some places. It is not the umpires fault you lose.
  17. I watched that match in Texas. PD3 threw AB around and made short work of it. PD3 was much bigger than AB at the time...
  18. This is a competitive team full of motivated kids that I volunteerly coach. I've donated countless hours and a few thousand dollars. Second, NO EXCUSES
  19. Yes, and yes. As a car runs out of gas, a person runs out of patience. Discussing empathy and compassion for disrespectful people does drain the patience.
  20. You make this post and don't understand where clown emojis come from? People might feel some responses are a bit level 1 childish and not see a need to engage. From Child to Adult. School is boring. School is boring because we just sit and listen all day. School is boring because we just sit and listen all day. I'd rather go on an adventure and learn about topics that interest me. School is boring because we just sit and listen all day. I'd rather go on an adventure and learn about topics that interest me, like how to hit a blast double. Blast doubles are so... manly! I want to hear your insights precisely because they are so different from mine. I just ask that you make an effort to have a meaningful conversation so that your ideas are considered more. Here, you are asking questions again that, with self-reflection, you would already identify and understand.
  21. It is exhausting to answer so many questions continuously..., but list any three pressing questions you want here and now, and I'll get to them. If the clown emojis bother you, listen to the advice. Engage constructively, acknowledge valid viewpoints, admit when wrong, and give reasoned arguments/evidence when persistently dismissing opposing viewpoints. Pull your pants up, tighten your belt, iron your shirt, make your bed, and adult up.
  22. Show effort to have an informed opinion and a healthy discussion will occur.
  23. My boy's baseball team lost an exciting close game in the tournament. The umpires made a few atrocious calls that went against us and the boys were upset. After the game, I did my best Cael speech about gratitude, and how loss hurt, but we'd move past this and forget about it quickly. The I asked why we lost. The answers were unanimous: "the umpires." No! What opportunities did you miss at bat? Where can you improve your fielding? Did you make any baserunning mistakes? These are the areas where we can make a difference, regardless of the calls made on the field. PERSONAL ACCOUNTABILITY My 11U team is used batting against 50 mph rather than 63 mph. They are used to big hits that go 200 feet, not 270 feet! We went 3-1 against 12U teams this weekend. Not bad.
  24. You ask a question without answering, where Ghandi is common knowledge to some, and imply non-violence was their ticket to freedom. Questions are asked in return, without being answered, implying there was violence to the story. You evade the questions. You almost nailed it here. I know there is more to the story, and your understanding skims the surface. I don't want to tell you that you are wrong; I want you to rebut with facts or increase your understanding. This is an excellent point that you must ask yourself first. What evidence was presented with the implication that India became free without guns? Besides the USA's role in WW2... charter... there was violent Indian resistance (Subhas Chandra Bose, Bhagat Singh - more) I really value your input. It'd be awesome to see well-informed opinions and evidence more often.
