Very much agree. We were laughing at the whole ridiculousness of the event each time we saw it in a Greco match. Made the style look even worse. I’m in a bad spot, lame as head and arm attempt … I’m saved.

All you said is countered by how scored points and more points and more points. Varied technique. Great pace. Guy is and was stupendous. How awesome would it be to see more and more wrestlers like him. Entertainment through the roof. I thought I saw a social media post by him that was after trials and he had one of his kids and it looked like he was in a barn. Guy looks like he knows he has better things to focus on and cherish now. But I can’t freaking find the post!!

Won’t happen but if Destribats blocks the US again, oh man. I feel great about Spencer and Zain. Limited number of studs I’m seeing in the lists and no super studs.

I started a whole thread on the speed of the reviews, but no one replied. Sad. So I’ll try again … the reviews went pretty quickly with good explanations post review. Great progress on these fronts.

First off - DT is the man. Guy is such a phenomenal wrestler. Have loved watching him. Always must watch. So fluid, such great technique. Living legend. Now - regarding this OTT - I agree with many that he just seemed a bit nonchalant / low energy for match 1. Match 2 had more energy so perhaps he simply lost to a better wrestler that day. I thought perhaps HEW has perhaps crept up. Decided to look at his twitter and he posted 4 days ago that this was his most disciplined prep since Tokyo Olympics. So that is a counter point. In that post he also mentions ‘The grind’ … Can’t expect a ‘Crap this sucks’ post from him prior to OTT. LOL. I bet he will say, eventually, that he put his all into it and just got beat so nothing is taken from AB. But, I am curious to hear some deeper insights from DT.

I’ve always been impressed with Lee since he showed up in my radar. Have never been a big fan though. Not sure why. That said, I find myself incredibly happy to have him on the team. Such a long road filled with injuries. Very glad that he seems to be healthy enough to really show up and let it rip. Congrats to him. Glad he is our rep and will have the job of getting us qualified. Best of luck to him. And may health be upon him!!

The moment you equated staying home to be there for his family, as a new child was being born, to ducking, you showed your bias. Hard to take your story as an objective retelling of what happened.

I have Brooks as favorite for gold. I bet DT is going to do whatever he can to help Brooks do it, including insights vs Yazdani.

This board seems to be in the process of getting overrun by bitter and classless people that like to troll and otherwise complain and belittle. Less and less actual substance. More and more attempts to insult or think they are insultingly ‘funny’ … I expect driven by some deep down insecurity.

Overall, these finals matches tonight are pretty boring. Not good. Feel like there has been a lot more fun in the past. Ahhhh, we are missing light weight mens … that may be a lesson learned. Need them … way more activity.

Seeing Nolf backing and not pulling trigger is so surprising and abnormal. Dake positioning and hand fighting must be awesome. Agree that Nolf needs a new strategy.

Final session. Can’t see score boards … angled so that I see from side .. their edges. Big screen showing match —- started with scores on bottom but now on bottom of match is a banner saying US Olympic Trials. Ummm, we all know what this is. SHOW THE FREAKING SCORE UP THERE!!! Fundamentally PISS POOR thinking on the setup here.
