During the winter months, former HC Steve Martin would take recruits to the beach and go surfing. After an hour or two, tell them that they need to go so they can catch the return flight back to the Midwest. Then he would educate them on the current weather conditions in their hometown.

@HungusMungus I didn't think so! Ben seems like he has enough knowledge to keep his business afloat, so I can't see him offering UW a FREE consultation about who to hire, not to hire, or retain Bono. I mean shit, I am just a stinking ref, and even I know better than to give them a FREEBIE!

Isn't this the same thing that the Illinois fans have been complaining about for years? I thought having the elevated mat for duals was a great idea, many kudos to Minkel for coming up with that.

You are 100% correct that they are not in a great spot or even a good spot. Is this the same kind of spot that Minkel was in for the last 5-10 years of his contract? Who at UW outside of the wrestling team, who really cares how good/bad they do? If Bono gets them graduate and keeps his nose clean, the admin may not even notice that they suck. Worse thing, they may not even care.

Something is wrong in East Lansing, as they seem to be the latest Northwestern of the Big. Several of their guys have entered the portal. Does anyone have any good information on this?
