  1. Several Mizzou matches are interesting to me but I am a biased alumni. Surtain and Poulin is a rematch from the 2023 Big 12 finals. Moore and Bailey will be entertaining. Edmond vs Henson in part due to Henson's MU ties. Gioffre could put Watters in danger. Mauller vs Travis. Travis' father wrestled at Mizzou. Is Mocco healthy enough to return to form? Hawks vs Kane is a rematch from the first round of NCAA 2023. Hawks can go with anyone in the bracket.
  2. What are the most intriguing matches that are scheduled to happen on Thursday?
  3. The easy answer is to get rid of at-large bids. If you want to qualify, you have to place at your conference tournament. If you are unable to compete, then I am sorry but injuries happen. If Starrocci knew he had to place in the top 8 at his conference tournament then he would have had to decide if he was good enough to wrestle or not.
  4. The irony of your post is amazing. I doubt Coach Sanderson would appreciate the idea that he allows "them" to thrive. Do "they" have to ask him for permission to improve? Your inherent racism is showing.
  5. Why not make it a combined formula? They currently use a formula. 50%. School's weight class record 20%. Head to head. 15%. Coaches ranking 15%. RPI
  6. Where does Sean Hage fall into this category? He won 8 Fargo titles.
  7. I have used wrestlestate to look at rankings and to compare in duals. Does it have a feature that I could build a tournament with 6 teams and compare? Can I include non-starters?
  8. Has anyone done a preview of the Tiger Style Invite this weekend? The teams include Cal Poly, Lindenwood, Little Rock, Maryland, Missouri, and SIUE. I follow Mizzou but not the other programs closely. I would anticipate some quality matches wrestled by nonstarters. I did a quick scan of Flo's rankings and this is the list I came up with. I apologize if I missed anyone. 125. #16 and #18. 133. #28 141. #18 149. #5(157?), #15, and #16 157. #5 (from 149?), #22, and #28(??) 165. #1, 174. #6, #18 184. #10, 197. #4, #8, #18, HWT. #6, #23, #24, and #31
  9. Not often but that makes it a great story. What was Ramos ranked when he pinned Lee?
  10. I think a dual meet championship would bring an exciting component because it provides opportunities for more upsets. Basketball March Madness is exciting because there is an opportunity for upsets. I do not care if the "best team" wins every year. I would love to see upsets and drama. The 15th-ranked wrestler pins the number 1-ranked wrestler and all of a sudden the 20th-ranked dual team has a chance to beat the 3rd-ranked dual team. I also believe some coaches in power do not want a dual meet championship for the very same reason.
  11. Can anyone explain to me why Christian Carroll placed 10th and the wrestlers from AZE, FRA, and KAZ placed above him? I am not mad about it but I do not understand how they do the placing. FRA and KAZ were not pulled back into wrestle backs. AZE lost the same round as Carroll.
  12. Just wait until PSU realizes they can hire a good coach and brings Askren in. They will finally have a good coaching staff. Then it will be more than just an assembly of talent.
  13. Bo pins him 3/5 matches. DT is way over rated.
  14. Let's get away from the Big 10 for a little while. Some big duals for Mizzou this weekend. Mizzou takes on Oklahoma on Friday and OSU on Sunday. WrestleStat has Mizzou shutting out OU. I doubt that happens but would be happy to see it. Several wrestlers from the state of Missouri on Oklahoma's roster could make for some interesting matches. 125 Surtain over Prata dec 3-0 133 Brown over Henson dec 6-0 141 Hart over Schwartz dec 9-0 149 Mauller over Moore dec 12-0 157 Jacques over Butler dec 15-0 165 O'Toole over Nijenhuis mdec 19-0 174 Mocco over Picklo dec 22-0 184 Hawks over Moore dec 25-0 197 Elam over Seago mdec 29-0 285 Elam over Heindselman dec 32-0 Mizzou vs Oklahoma state is predicted to be much closer by Wrestlestat. They have it as 20-13 for Mizzou 125 Surtain over Witcraft dec 3-0 133 Fix over Brown mdec 3-4 141 Hart over Young dec 6-4 149 Mauller over Voinovich dec 9-4 157 Gfeller over Jacques dec 9-7 165 O'Toole over Sheets mdec 13-7 174 Plott over Mocco dec 13-10 184 Wittlake over Hawks dec 13-13 197 Elam over Suber mdec 17-13 285 Elam over Doucet dec 20-13 Are these lineups accurate? Anyone have different predictions. I am thinking Mizzou wins 24-9 or so against OU and 23-10 vs OSU.
