Very true. SF teams are much like ncaa wrestling teams. Mixed backgrounds and body types with common mental traits Typically “older” operators have a better success rate in the schools because of their wisdom and moxie. The schools do a great job revealing your character much more than building it. With that being said, some candidates make it through schools by playing the game. There is no gaming once in the teams. Nothing in the Army was as hard as two a day college practices while cutting weight, until I went to Ranger School. Adding sleep deprivation to starvation, mental and physical exhaustion was a new level of suck. This of course continued in follow on schools Staying injury free does not happen. Your body gets broken down to a point where they told us it takes years off your life. I can’t imagine wrestling at a high level after 6 years of being in SF.

Brooks did it on a limited schedule…Gods work or not, it worked.

I don’t know if it would be an ask. Based off of his interviews, it seems he wants to level up. He could win everything next year.

Limited schedule as he shrinks down for a 74KG run? Seems like an epic challenge for his 4th title.

There are a lot of fans wanting big time transfers to help resurrect their respective programs like Iowa and OK State. Wrestling is very hard and changing before our eyes in TTP's. Was Matt Ramos a high prized transfer?

Interesting perception. I think most fans/participants/families of wrestling are hard working religious families with conservative values.

Iowa winds their wrestles so tight with winning and losing you die mentality. This is the outcome of that philosophy.

I think he would wrestle in one of the events to garner seed points. Outliers are always possible. I do not think the Brook types care what their seed is. The NCAA needs to have seed weight in end of year rankings done by an unbiased committee.

Would having the CKLV, Southern Scuffle and Midlands as ranking Tournaments during the season be beneficial? It would certainty increase participation if they held the same weight percentage as say conference placements. It would also incentivize teams to wrestle starters.

Genetic battle instincts are just that... Genetic. Some lead battle by screaming and war crying, while others lead with calmness and surgical precision.

Some coaches are also continuously yapping and impeding the trail ref every time they come into proximity of their corner. I believe having them in an area where they cannot intimidate or influence the officiating would be beneficial. It is much more noticeable in the B10 and B12 compared to the ACC or EIWAS. Way more bricks being tossed and yapping in the midwest sans PSU.

Has it been debated/discussed to keep coaches off the mat corners during live wrestling like FS/GR? It seems this would be beneficial for all parties. It is difficult to keep composure will coaching. Some genetic battle instincts take over when coaching. Discuss
