  1. I think the AWA line will be fine. KOT has the inside scoop and I would be shocked if his mentor didn’t know all about the “out of sight” things.
  2. Funny. Smith said earlier in the season that whiting had one loss, in ot. And that’s also how he beat Hawks - not to mention the preparation he had prior to that match. The previous year, Hawks beat both Harman and whiting at the same tournament. He didn’t start right after. but don’t you worry. You have another Wisconsin guy coming. So you probably won’t have to watch hawks wrestle anyways.
  3. I heard the same from the family as well. He was over 185 at big 12s. He’s supposed to be going 74kg for U20 this month.
  4. I believe Stoner is working towards being the HWT. I'm pretty sure Boersma is medically retired. There has been some rumbilings of Whiting going 174 next year.
  5. Edmond did go. Gioffre did not - that was Seltzer
  6. I am more a Hawks fan than a Whiting fan - and that has only increased with the behavior this past weekend, which has also exposed some things that were going on the past few weeks that came to light. I would love to see Hawks as the 2024 NCAA champ, but I know that is more than likely not going to be the case. I also would not be surprised to see some back and forth at 184. Smith said as much in his after tourney interview. But then again, he says a lot of things and then changes what he actually does. It’s only the first week and half of each of the 184s match’s have been against each other. A lot can happen between now and March.
  7. Well, looks like as a FAN, you’ll get your wish this weekend. Sounds like WHITING will be starting.
  8. And last year Hawks won in the finals over Harman who started in the next dual. With none of them having rs left, I would say they could interchange any of the three. I would agree nothing is set in stone, and I admit I am biased.
  9. I agree, I think Rocky will stay 197 as well. I also wonder if Sinclair will rs - in the article that just came out on him he plans to go 197 in college. I also think the 184’s will stay at that weight. I know one was talking about going down next year, but with the expectation of KOT moving up, that wouldn’t help him.
  10. He should be at the Tiger Style Invite this weekend. Last year Hawks didn't wrestle at Black & Gold (for a different reason than Whiting's) and he was back at the Invite as well.
  11. He was there walking around and hanging out with everyone. I know the 3 184s all wrestled each over two weeks ago. I would expect him to wrestle at the invite in two weeks. Last year Hawks didn’t wrestle at black n gold and was at the invite.
  12. They are going to try and do FB Live. 157 sounds like it should be the one to watch.
  13. Well, I admit I am 100% biased and I hope that is true about Hawks. I have enjoyed talking with Whiting, but I have history with Hawks. I know there was some talk mid-summer about Mauller wanting to go 57, I hope that does not end up so, that would really throw a wrench in the lineup. I like the plan of Steed at 57.
  14. That would be great! I'm always amazed that we do not have higher turnouts at home duals. I think this next seasons home schedule and the change of the mat/set up will help to bring in bigger crowds. The school and teams have really done so much more in showing out in support of each other, it's bound to start making a bigger impact.
  15. I remember when that happened, I was pretty surprised, and honestly, I had expectations of JJ after hearing that. But we all know how Keegan is, he takes that and makes adjustments. I cannot imagine that happening now. He is always working and switching up who he wrestles with, I hear about him with the 184s often. Harman - I don't think there is anything going on with him that is wrong, he beat Whiting at black and gold, and it was close. And they DFF when they later matched up. And like nhs67 said, he's a small 184, he looked...thick, not necessarily cut when he moved up. From my understanding, Hawks was expected to be the starter this past season, started the season with a knee clean up, there was another thing, but this is not the place for it, and he had to earn his place in the lineup. I, for one, hope Hawks stays healthy and has a full season next year. As M-fan pointed out, yes, KOT and Rocky did win gold where Hawks did not do a whole lot. He also had another knee surgery (his first was senior year of hs) that was put off until the return from Russia, so he wrestled a small amount of matches his second season as well. Hopefully Whiting has a stronger showing at U20 WTT. I think there is a rematch or two there he would like to avenge.
  16. I have a heard a rumor or two where that could be a possibility. I also look forward to seeing what Seltzer does this year. My biggest concern with Edmond is him making weight at 141. He has definitely filled out quite a bit, hopefully him and Steed are putting in the time this summer to make 141 and 157 an easier transition come season time. As for 184, I see MizzouFan is big on Whittling - but I prefer Hawks or Harman over Whiting myself. And I have heard a few rumors there as well, but we'll see how that plays out.
  17. I had to go look up Tigerboard. I had no idea it even existed. I really enjoyed the old Missouri Wrestling board as well. I check in here and the PowerMizzou board the most.
  18. I don’t take too much stock in the splitting of the matches. I was at both tournaments and they’re teammates. If you watched the matches, the first one was definitely more action. The second one only one wrestler moved forward, the refs refused to call anything - again, teammates so not really surprising, one duck under won it after an entire match of backing up. I also don’t look at the records between the three much. They had very different competition for the majority of them. I think whiting is still figuring out college. Not having parents right there, managing weight, and a few other things. I’m sure he’ll get it worked out, after all, with battling for spots on the team, that can only make the team stronger. Harman has shown he’s a great teammate. Moves to weights where needed, works hard, is very dependable. Hawks had an injury senior year that ended up causing some other injuries. He put a lot of time in this season to really push through that and still competed for the spot. I think he’s made a big jump since January- again, I don’t necessarily go by the record when he had competition like Keckeisen, Coleman and Wittlake, and seemed to hold his own just fine. But again, who knows what will happen.
  19. Front what I heard at NCAAs and since, I would be surprised if it was whiting. I think Hawks or Harman. But who knows. I also think Harman would have more success at 174, but that could be a year before the opportunity presents.
  20. Yes 0 offense. How in the world did he get the first takedown? because as a #26 ranked he was expected - by all, to destroy the #11 ranked he previously lost to. The other wrestlers who are satisfied with decisions instead of bonus points have no blame in this team loss.
  21. Some of this is just bad reffing. They are actually counting to 5 - loudly, we can hear them, and then they just stop counting and still don’t give a stall call. Some stalemates are called in less than 3 seconds, some are going on and on - until time runs out. Horrible.
  22. I could’ve have swore he said just 10. Most of the others would be going to another tourney this weekend. I thought it was on a podcast - maybe the one with mauller? I had it playing in the background, so I could have misheard.
  23. Last I heard, he was taking all 10 starters - no extras. And it looked like that from the bus photos.
