  1. 141: Emilio Ysaguirre, Arizona State 165: Luka Wick, Cal Poly
  2. All very good points. My money would be on Ysaguirre starting at 141 lbs next season for ASU.

  4. The answer to your first question is yes but as has already been mentioned it is complicated and it depends on how long you have been in the academy. Since Hendrickson has been in for four years I would think he would be eligible to transfer elsewhere but as has also already been mentioned he is done with college wrestling. He will likely graduate from the Air Force academy and serve in the Air Force.
  5. Your title here is simply false. The four remaining PAC 12 wrestling programs - as Ken Chertow said in his introductory statement at the 2024 PAC 12 tournament - will return as the PAC 12 wrestling programs for the next two years. That being Oregon State, Little Rock, Cal Poly and Cal State Bakersfield. They are allowed to operate with less than six schools for that two year period. The two remaining actual PAC 12 schools, i.e., Oregon State and Washington State have worked out the details (for the most part) of a merger with the Mountain West and will retain the PAC 12 name. The Mountain West has two wrestling schools in Air Force and Wyoming. A merger of the two conferences would mean a PAC 12 Conference with six wrestling programs, i.e., the minimum number needed for NCAA tournament allocations. That being of course Oregon State, Little Rock, Cal Poly, Cal State Bakersfield, Air Force and Wyoming. Other options would be inviting schools such as Cal Baptist, Utah Valley and Northern Colorado to join as well.
  6. Given the fact that Keckeisen and Aaron Brooks are very close I would be surprised if Penn State doesn't (at the very least) try to get Keckeisen as a transfer to Penn State for next season. Keckeisen will be in the same position (next season) as Bernie Truax was last season, i.e., a sixth (and last) season for 2025. Keckeisen has been at UNI for five years so he must be a graduate and can transfer if he wants to do so.
  7. After the first two rounds the PAC 12 teams that are competing are now: Arizona State is 11-6 - Figueroa (125), Parco (149), Teemer (157) and Cohlton (285) are all still in the championship bracket Cal Poly is 4-6 - Chance Lamer at 149 lbs is the only Mustang wrestler still in the championship bracket. Lamer's next opponent is Arizona State's Kyle Parco and Parco is 6-0 in college vs. Lamer. Little Rock is 5-5 - Nasir Bailey at 133 lbs is the only Little Rock wrestler who is still in the championship bracket Oregon State is 4-6 - Munoz at 184 lbs is the only Beaver wrestler who is still in the championship bracket Stanford is 6-4 - Cardenas at 157 lbs is the only Cardinal wrestler who is still in the championship bracket
  8. Arizona State went 7-2 with the two losses via Cael Valencia's 2nd match vs. the # 1 seed at 174 lbs and Negron's loss at 184 lbs. Wins came from Richard Figueroa at 125, and upset win by Julian Chlebove at 133, Jesse Vasquez at 141, Kyle Parco at 149, Jacori Teemer at 157, Cael Valencia's win in the Pig-Tail round, and Cohlton Schultz' win at 285 lbs. Cal Poly went 2-3 with the two wins coming from Chance Lamer at 149 and Adam Kemp at 174. Little Rock also went 2-3 with the two wins coming from true Freshman Nasir Bailey at 133 and Stephen Little at 197. Oregon State went 1-4 with the one win coming from Trey Munoz at 184 lbs. Stanford went 5-0 with wins coming from Nicco Provo at 125, Jaden Abas' upset win over Tyler Kasak at 149, Daniel Cardenas at 157, Hunter Gavin beating Little Rock's Joey Bianchi at 165 and Nikolas Stemmet at 197.
  9. What stood out to me was all of the coaches and assistants and all of the male support people ALL wore suits & ties, i.e., they dressed formally. As opposed to how people dress casually even slovenly today.
  10. Apparently - according to what I heard Ken Chertow say during the finals - Oregon State, Cal Poly, Little Rock and CS Bakersfield will be the PAC 12 conference next season unless they can add another team or two. They will have two years to get back up to a six team conference (thru the 2026 season). If they do not do so they will lose their NCAA allocations. 2026 is also when the merger between the PAC 2 and the Mountain West Conference is said to be taking place and there are two schools in the MWC that have wrestling programs. That being Air Force and Wyoming. Both of which now compete in the Big 12 Conference. Personally I'd love to see ALL of the NCAA wrestling programs in the west make the move to the PAC 12 as well. That being Air Force, Northern Colorado, Utah Valley, Wyoming and California Baptist. Of course that is extremely unlikely to occur. P.S. Since the PAC 12 tournament has - for quite some time now - only had the three actual PAC 12 schools hosting the PAC 12 wrestling tournament each year and since there will only be one actual PAC 12 school next season, i.e., Oregon State I suppose that means the tournament will now be held only at Oregon State and none of the other schools will get to host the PAC 12 wrestling tournament.

  12. And now the one live stream that was working is not working. I swear chimpanzees would be more competent.
  13. No surprise at all. The PAC 12 incompetence - especially on anything having to do with the sport of wrestling has been evident for DECADES. They are supposed to have two live streams going. SURPRISE only one is going There is no audio commentary just some idiotic "musak" interrupted occasionally by a PA announcer. YEP.........same old PAC 12. I'm so glad this conference is done.
