Choice after injury time

I get this rule to stop the lung timeout issue but does anyone else wish the non injured wrestler would take the high road in cases where it's obvious that it's a real injury and not a lung timeout.  There's nothing preventing the non injured wrestler from choosing whatever position they were in before the injury.  I thought the Parris vs Kerk match tonight was a great example.  I would have loved to see Parris just take top after the injury timeout.  It would have been great sportsmanship?  Thoughts?
