They’ve got it all covered.  More of that dim science - down is up.

America’s national beer could soon be Mexican as Memorial Day weekend sales drop plunges Bud Light further into crisis

Memorial Day is usually a time for families to fire up the backyard grill, invite the neighbors over, and enjoy the sunshine over hot dogs and hamburgers—and, yes, beer.

But when the coolers were cracked open this weekend, fewer and fewer Americans reached for Bud Light. Instead people competed on social media as to who could post their best picture of fully stacked shelves next to signs advertising rebates for every case of Bud Light bought.

A week later.

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/bud-light-sales-keep-slipping-in-another-very-weak-week-155036783.html

Anheuser-Busch InBev stock (BUD) is down more than 17% since the Bud Light parent company reported earnings on May 4 as the Dylan Mulvaney controversy continues to weigh on the beer giant's sales.

The company, though, saw some slight improvement. In the week ending May 27, Anheuser-Busch InBev said Bud Light sales dropped 23.9% from a year ago — a smaller decline than the week prior, down 25.7%. Volumes were slightly improved slightly better too, down 27.8% the week of May 27, compared to down 29.5% the week of May 20. That's according to data from Bump Williams Consulting cited in an Evercore ISI note to clients.

"Another week of very weak trends for Bud Light indicates that tracked channels may be reaching a point of stabilization, albeit at significantly lower levels for Anheuser-Busch InBev than prior to the controversy," Evercore said.

I typically rotate my house beer between Coors heavy and Bud Heavy.  Since this whole ordeal, I've noticed price discounts for Bud and as a result, I stopped my rotation and focused on Bud heavy only.  I will resume drinking Coors if the price point becomes the same once again.  I'm not paying extra for Coors, but I'm thankful  that there are idiots out there who would - so I can continue to enjoy this delicious discount.

It’s not just the public flaunting of indecency, it’s the inclusion, the predation, of children that a widening band of extreme leftists are promoting that draws the ire of the majority.  When i hear the word ‘pizzagate’ I know it’s referring to a confused guy showing up at a pizza parlor, armed and ready to put a stop to harming children.  But I also remember that just about that same time it was learned that a couple of code words for trafficking children were ‘pizza’ and ‘pasta.’  One for young girls and one for young boys.  Now we’re learning that the emoji of a map stands for MAP + Minor Attracted People.  The emoji for ‘cheese pizza’ stands for CP - Child Pornography.

Beer wars: Bud Light loses top spot to Modelo in May

Bud Light now holds 7.3% of total US beer market retail sales, Modelo moved up to the No. 1 spot with 8.4%.

Move over Bud Light, Modelo is now No. 1.

The Constellation Brands (STZ) beer knocked off previous leader Bud Light (BUD), which has been embroiled in a boycott from the likes of Kid Rock over an endorsement from a transgender TikTok influencer — and possibly a reverse boycott from the LGBTQ community.

In the four-week period ending June 3, Modelo Especial made its way to the top. Modelo holds 8.4% of total retail sales in the US beer market. That's compared to Bud Light, which now holds 7.3%, per Nielsen and Bump Williams Consulting. At the start of the year, Bud Light held a 10.3% share, higher compared to Modelo, 7.5%.

The future looks bright.

Modelo is definitely better, so Bud Light will not get this market share back.  Advantage Mexico.   Ironically, looks like LGBTQ tolerance is wide spread there and yet they get the cancel culture money.

https://www.foxbusiness.com/economy/bud-light-maker-ceo-tells-customers-we-hear-you-doesnt-apologize-sales-tank

Bud Light maker CEO tells customers, 'We hear you,' but doesn't apologize as sales tank

Anheuser-Busch CEO Brendan Whitworth has released a message telling consumers "we hear you," as sales of the beer giant’s Bud Light brand continue to slide following a partnership with transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney.

In a post titled "Anheuser-Busch Announces Support For Frontline Employees And Wholesaler Partners," Whitworth said, "We recognize that over the last two months, the discussion surrounding our company and Bud Light has moved away from beer, and this has impacted our consumers, our business partners, and our employees."

"We are a beer company, and beer is for everyone," he continued.

Since late March, Bud Light parent Anheuser-Busch has seen its market value plummet by over $35 billon to $99 billion, down from $134.5 billon.

Whitworth announced "three important actions" to move the company forward, including "investing to protect the jobs of our frontline employees" and "providing financial assistance to our independent wholesalers to help them support their employees."

"Third, to all our valued consumers, we hear you. Our summer advertising launches next week, and you can look forward to Bud Light reinforcing what you’ve always loved about our brand — that it’s easy to drink and easy to enjoy," Whitworth also said.

A similar article was on Yahoo finance website and the comments were pretty scathing.   He hears his valued customers and new advertising will fix all this.   I guess we'll see.   Many of the commenters were saying "customers, no we are not longer your customers".   Like I said, I guess we'll see.

So now bud light drinkers, or former bud light drinkers, feel they are owed an apology?

From the comments section on the yahoo article, they felt like an apology back when this happened may have done some good for their bottom line.   But the feelings were that obviously the company doesn't want to apologize and these commenters no longer consider themselves customers.   From what I gather, they could care less now if the company apologizes or not, they are no longer consumers of AB beers.  Interestingly, there were no Pro AB commenters in the 3 pages I read.

In other words, CEO saying he listens to customers does not apply to these folks as they no longer consider themselves customers.    Just summarizing what I read.
