Too bad he couldn't do it at the varsity weight when it counted in 2021.

It is unfortunate that 61 kg is a JV weight by world standards but this is the world we live in.

what is a crawdaddy on top of of a crawdaddy?

average exists for a reason...

i don't fault any of you...

What would possibly make you say that Nashon has more "God-given talent" than Vito?  Vito's dad is a world champ, his mom was an Olympian, and he has been more successful in age group events throughout his career.

he's more of an athlete....like burroughs measure their high jump broad jump, eplosion.........garret has it.

and the simple fact of the matter is both of my sons have already represented this country internationally multiple times and both have medaled internationally (not at worlds) and that gives me a certain perspective that far outweighs most people on this planet...

I guess AJ Ferrari Sr must be a wrestling mastermind.

Really?  You've measured these physical tests from all three athletes?  How can you be so sure that Garrett jumps better than Vito?

obvious answer is obvious...

Some of the most athletic guys I've ever seen were members of the Russian Greco squad in the 90s.  I remember Dan Chandler saying to me "if those guys grew up in the US, they'd be playing shortstop for the Dodgers."

you can't compare the normals to greco athletes...

let's set realistic expectations...

So Vito is more of a wrestler, right?  How else to explain that he beat Garrett 9-2?

You realize he’s talking about Russian Greco wrestlers, not American ones right?

The dearth of high-caliber athletes is the most obvious impediment to American success in greco. It should come as little surprise that the great 2006 and 2007 teams which finished 3rd and 1st were loaded with legit former collegiate wrestlers that were talented enough to be on the freestyle ladder.
