Favorite is obviously Iowa so he can join Anthony (and probably A.J.)

Wait a minute ... I've been on vacation.  So Anthony already signed and AJ struck a plea deal?

The rest of ncaa if Angelo chooses Iowa:

sic - Used in brackets after a copied or quoted word that appears odd or erroneous to show that the word is quoted exactly as it stands in the original.

[Not for you. For the dummies in the back.]

The question I would have to ask would be, "What are the odds that none of the Ferrari Clan are back in the news in a bad way in the next year?"

Their history is already terrible.
If/when the next terrible thing happens, the questions will be along the lines of, "You knew they were terrible people, why did you bring them here?"

I just don't see the risk v reward calculation outcome being on the positive side of the ledger.

For both older boys, I agree.  I would give the younger son a chance but I have a big heart

I know what sic means. I was asking what was odd or erroneous.

When Anthony F. put an Iowa commitment graphic on social media, it contained a misspelling of "committed" as "commited."  Although this post relates to Angelo and commitment is spelled correctly, I believe the poster was making a reference to Anthony's graphic.

As you note, part of the confusion is that the "sic" doesn't make grammatic sense as "commitment" is spelled correctly, so there's no misspelling to be noted.

Perhaps it is the word ‘commitment’ itself that is being flagged as the wrong word to be used.  Look up what commitment means.  Am thinking the ‘sic’ would mean that it is fairy tale that an actual commitment is possible given the player and the world that the player lives in.
