125: Spencer Lee dec Matt Ramos 3-0
133: Michael Mcgee dec Mickey Phillippi 3-3
141: Cole Matthews dec Danny Pucino 3-6
149: Sammy Sasso dec Austin Gomez 3-9
157: Austin O'Connor dec Levi Haines 6-9
165: Dean Hamiti dec Justin McCoy 9-9
174: Carter Starocci major DJ Shannon 9-13
184: Trent Hidlay dec Abe Assad 9-16
197: Nino Bonaccorsi dec Jacob Warner 9-19
285: Cassioppi dec Hunter Catka 12-19, PA wins though if 149 flips it would be PA by 16-15.

If think if, in this fantasy matchup, we are going to say Lee is healthy, we have to do the same for Gomez. I think a healthy Gomez would probably beat Sasso (but not a given).

If we are going by the version of each wrestler that we saw most recently, you’d have to give the wins to Ramos and Sasso. Either way, I hate to admit it, but I think Illinois is the favorite here

Slight tweaks and an allowance allowed for Brawley... some gents have to hit the gym and others need to quit eating.

125 - Gabe Whisenhunt (Oregon State)
133/141 - Hunter Eveland (Oregon State)
133/141 - DJ Gillett (Oregon St commit)
149 - Chance Lamer (Cal Poly)
157 - Legend Lamer (Cal Poly)
165 - Brawley Lamer (Cal Poly)
174 - Daschle Lamer (Cal Poly)
184 - James Rowley (Purdue) - He is going to have to get on the Isaiah Salazar (non-steroid) workout and diet regimen
197 - Santos Cantu (Indiana) - He is also going to have to get on the Isaiah Salazar (non-steroid) workout and diet regimen
285 - Hayden Walters (Michigan) - Mason Parris diet/workout regimen

That squad is salty.

You could also possibly put Drew Roberts (Minnesota) in there at 157.  Drew grew up wrestling with all the Crescent Valley kids, and even won his first state title in HS at Crescent Valley before the family moved to Eastern Washington/N. Idaho.

Would you take him over Legend Lamer?

I ask for the purpose of team chemistry, as well.  One of the Lamer's would be riding pine.  Unless everyone went on the non-steroid Salazar diet and Rowley was up to 197.

The hard part is that Legend wrestled 165 and Brawley 174 last year

Did he really, though?

He didn't weigh an ounce of 149.1 and wrestled 165.  Guy was tiny.  Brawley was weighing in with two ten pound weights in each hand to weigh 165.1 to wrestle 184 for the team for most of the season.

It made the team a very dangerous dual team.  Neither was near peak performance for their weight class.  They wrestled up for the team.  It is known.

Stop trying to steal Donnell Washington. He's from Indiana and wrestled his last two years of HS in Indiana. 😀

Obviously we know PA, NJ, CA would have great teams. Still interested to hear each state's team.

@ 157, a case could be made for Vinny Zerban (N. Colorado / CBC HS) who was 4-2 & R12 @ NCAA this past season.

Wasn't Zerban an Illinois move in? moved in CBC and moved back to Illinois his SR year? or am I crossing that up?
